Journalists & friends of the current family law system often promote their own
tunnel vision agenda & sell their bias to the general public in fancy packaging. One of the most successful vehicles to keep the divorce industry steam-rolling along has been gender division tactics & misandry (societies ingrained hatred or acceptance that taking shots at men is accepted by society in a way that would never be tolerated towards women). I have made over 50 trips to my New Westminster, BC courthouse & spent hundreds of hours listening to stories. Both men & women paying untold amounts of life savings and watching their emotional & physical health decline. A woman in her late 30s that I sat with (waiting for duty council) confided that she had just suffered a stroke due to the stress of this adversarial process. She did not use the term adversarial though, as she was new to the game and did not know the legal terminology for bullying that lawyers often brag about. I also had a male friend in North Vancouver who put a rope around his neck and was found dangling limp from the joist in his garage. He had been going through a nasty divorce. "Both" men & women suffer the wrath of our "adversarial" billion dollar divorce industry, yet reporters such as Katie Hyslop promote unfair hatred against fathers with their wide feminist paint-brush. Stats Canada & many other researchers have made the connection between male suicide & divorce in Canada. Males in Canada commit suicide at a ratio of 3:1 over females which seems highly acceptable to majority of those with the power & position to take action. The other fact is the overwhelming majority of these dead males are dads 40 to 59 years of age. I was 3 years into my divorce when I decided to take a rope & hang myself from the second floor railing of the New Westminster, BC courthouse. The CBC was asked to do a story on root cause of child poverty & dad's committing suicide, but CBC told advocates to piss off. Advocates then contacted the CBC Ombudsmen & reported willful blindness by this media giant, but again were told to piss off & that dad's between 40 & 59 years of age should die silently. Quote from National Post giving light to media's agenda & willful blindness in regards to dads committing suicide: "For years, organizations like the CBC, the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail have relied on a small group of handpicked voices to speak on behalf of minority communities. Like a game of musical chairs, the same few activists and academics appear in social justice-themed stories, parroting the same old talking points that are full of problems but lacking practical solutions." |
